Brothers

The theme for The Pioneer Woman's latest photography assignment is brothers.

While my photography still needs a lot of work, it did prompt me to go through some pictures of Nathan and Caleb.

Today, both the boys got their immunization shots - Caleb's routine ones and Nathan's catch-up ones.

Nathan went first. The nurse thought it would be a better idea for him to not see Caleb's reaction before he got his own (smart nurse). He sat perfectly still and got three injections without making a sound or shedding a tear. His eyes told me it really hurt him but he only said "ow". He was trying to be brave.

Later on, as we were getting out of the car, Caleb was crying. Nathan said he felt bad for Caleb because he got his shots today. I reminded Nathan that he got some as well, to which he replied, "Yeah, but it was worse for Caleb-y."
