Bananagrams

Nathan recently started playing Bananagrams during our weekend getaway.

Our friends are big Bananagrams fans. Whenever there's people sitting around a table, you can pretty much bet they're playing Bananagrams.

When Andrew and I first learned how to play, Nathan would help whoever wasn't on Caleb-duty gather tiles and say the words (i.e., peel, bananas, etc.). Occasionally, he'd push around the tiles and spell small words.

Now, he's playing solo and putting together some pretty good combinations of words!

I know his teacher at school has been saying that they're all going through a huge "explosion" of reading and spelling lately, but it's hard to believe that my little guy is independently playing word/spelling games!
