This story has waited a long time to be shared.
I have a smaller version of it in my Project Life, but it's one of my favourite Caleb-Andrew stories so I made this layout for it last night.
I'm trying to push myself to use more of my supplies and make more layouts but I'm the world's slowest scrapbooker and it takes me a long time to actually make something.
To make this layout, I had to sit at my desk three different times (for hours, each time), I changed the background three times before I finally started pulling the pieces together.
How do people make multiple layouts in one sitting? It amazes me.
I'd love to learn how to scrap faster. If anyone has any tips or tricks that help them scrap faster, please share!
well i think this page is great!!!
ReplyDeletedont change a thing!!!
as for scrapping...sometimes the ideas come out of me so fast...other times...it takes days!!!!!!
who knows why!!!!!!
For me, it's just ALWAYS slow.
DeleteOh I love this page. Absolutely perfect! xxx
ReplyDeleteFabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely page, Bernice. I don't have any advice for you cos I take about a week for one minimalist page. lol..
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kate. I'd love to see your layouts sometime! Post some in the SC gallery!
DeleteBeautiful! I'm a slow scrapper also! I usually take a full day to finish one layout! I move things around all day, adding and taking away until it looks just right to me! Thats why I never go to crops, it's agonizing to work over one project while others are cranking out one every hour or so!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Valerie. I'm just like you, moving things around and such. I can imagine it would be so agonizing going to crops. I'm hoping to go to Amy Tan's make and take when she's in Australia but would it be horrible if I just sat there and watched everyone else make stuff? Haha.
Deletei love this. in my opinion, there's no better way to capture a memory like this than with a picture and words, beautifully arranged on paper :)
ReplyDeleteLove that your hubby blogged about this page, it is so sweet :) It seems like slow scrapping works for you, so stick with it!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I just might do that.
