I recently found the perfect use for the little bags I get with my Studio Calico orders: scrapbooking travel kits.
When I make mini-albums, my go-to size is 6x8. This bag is just big enough to hold my mini album pages, an assortment of embellishments and my essential tools - I'll show you!
Here are the pages I've chosen and cut down for a travel mini album I have planned.
These are the embellishments that I've picked out so far. This, along with Instax photos and the ephemera I plan on picking up along the way will fill up the album.
And finally, my tools. I will add a roll of washi tape and perhaps a couple more stamps, but this is the essentials.
I love this system of storing my kits for scrapbooking on the go because I plan on doing three different mini albums this December. I can have one cloth bag for each album (book pages + embellishments), and keep the essential tools in a ziplock bag that I can toss into whichever kit I'm working with at that time.
And just like that, I'll be ready to go off and document another adventure!
I love your 'travel bag' idea :) TFS
ReplyDeleteHow very clever! I have several of those and I think it would be awesome to make up a few of these kits! Maybe I'll make some up as gifts to my daughters!! Thanks or the great idea!
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome idea. I am also doing three minis...December Daily, Shimelle Lain's Journal your CHristmas, and a holiday recipe 8x8 I want to have to add to every year.
