eating... red velvet cupcakes (with cream cheese frosting!) that I made last night, though they don't taste exactly like as I had imagined.
Mini version for Nathan to share with his friends after school. |
reading... The Dressmaker by Posie Graeme-Evans. It's been a while since I've had a chance to read for pleasure and I found this the other day when I stranded myself at the mall. For $5, I thought I'd give it a try and so far I'm enjoying it.
wondering... how to keep my almost 9-month old away from the garbage/drawers/wires/shoes without confining him to his play centre... or a laundry basket.
Or else this happens... |
wanting... more time to work on creative projects. So many ideas swirling around in my head!
enjoying... the warmer weather. Not a cloud in the sky today!
disliking... sacrificing Caleb's second nap to pick up Nathan from school... every day. How do I avoid this?
attempting... to learn the roles and balance the responsibilities of this super-stay-at-home-mom-trophy-wife-pseudo-artist person that I apparently want to become.
I remember the days of trying to keep my babies our of everything :) Now they are nine and four!
ReplyDeleteAnd the nap situation happened with my second child, too. The only solution I came up with was trying to car pool a few days with other parents. And my mother-in-law helped a bit. Otherwise, it was just one of those things I resigned myself to since she was a second child.
Yum, I could go for some red velvet cupcakes! :)
ReplyDeleteThose cupcakes look delish! Love the pic of the boy and his mess. That's going to be me before I know it.
ReplyDeleteAnything called The Dressmaker sounds interesting to me.
