Another Busy Weekend

Ever so often, we have weekends that are packed full of activity. This past weekend was one of them.

Friday / Nathan came back from camp happy but filthy. Somehow he decided that he didn't need to shower or brush his teeth for the entire duration of the camp. Yikes! At least he came back wearing something different from what he left in!

After his swimming lesson (and shower), we had Indian food with some friends at Sardar Rasoi in South Bank. We had never been to this restaurant before. We had the buffet, which had a small selection but it was still pretty good. Especially the naan. Yum!

Nathan loved the food, which surprised me because I was worried they wouldn't have anything he'd like to eat.

Nathan also loved the fact that he got to have dinner with not one, but two of his friends! I'm really loving that our families can all be friends.

Saturday / Only Andrew and Nathan made it to the soccer game this week. Caleb and I had a little sleep-in.

We headed straight back to South Bank for QPAC's Out of the Box festival. It's a creative festival for kids and I thought the boys might enjoy some of the activities.

We watched live shows..

Drew on the walls...

Wandered through the Sticky Maze...

Adding paper to the tape.
Peeking through the walls.

Wondering where to go.
Looking for a way out.

Then finished off our time at OOTB at the Tent of Tall Tales where they had story time and other activities.

By then, it was about lunch time so we walked over the bridge into the CBD towards King George Square for the Brisbane Winter Festival.

The event was a lot smaller than I was expecting. I forgot to even take a picture of the ice rink, but we did find some yummy food to munch on, like the fluffiest doughnuts you've ever had.

Andrew found his beloved churros again.

Then, we sat down and had some Wood Fired Pizza for lunch.

After lunch, we slowly made our way home and then to our friends' house for dinner. We're so spoiled.

Sunday / Andrew had to head out early for practice, so I got the boys ready for church.

We caught our friends' son's rugby game after church.

Then the boys spent the rest of the afternoon putting together a new Lego set.

Phew!

That was a super picture-heavy post. If you made it this far, I'm impressed. Thank you for sticking around!

We had an action-packed weekend. Hope you had a good one, too!
