Wheel of Brisbane

After three and a half years of living in Brisbane and driving/walking past the Wheel of Brisbane, we finally went on for a ride.

We decided to go at dusk so we could enjoy the sunset from a different vantage point. Unfortunately, it took us a little longer than expected to find parking but we caught the tail end of the sunset anyway. Have I mentioned that I love sunsets? They're so magical.

The boys were mesmerized. When we first started moving, Caleb was a little scared and grabbed onto my leg. I assured him he would be okay, that he couldn't fall out and he relaxed. They loved how high we were going and that we could see the rooftops. As the sun sank below the horizon, we watched as the city lights flickered on like fairy lights everywhere.

There's an audio guide and map provided for those who want to locate different points of interest but were too excited to listen. The ride was just long enough for us to enjoy the experience without the boys getting bored.

I'm so glad we got to do this while we're still in Brisbane.
