Melbourne Day 4: St. Kilda and a Hockey Game

We started off our Sunday morning with a stroll through the markets just across the street.

This lady was nice enough to let Caleb pet her incredibly gentle and well-trained dog.

As usual, when it comes to Caleb and animals, I'm more worried about Caleb hurting the animal than the other way around. Our little boy isn't as gentle as he should be when it comes to touching animals.

The boys had a great time playing in the middle of the field as we slowly made our way around the stalls.

We had an early lunch at the St. Kilda beach, not too far from where we were staying.

The boys loved this bit of free time to run around and play in the sand. They had been so patient, going everywhere the adults wanted to go, they deserved this little break.

We had a quick walk around Luna Park before leaving St. Kilda*.

We played in front of the curvy mirrors.

Then, I bought Nathan fairy floss because he asked. Actually, he asked several times in Brisbane weeks before and I kept saying 'no' so I thought this would be a nice time to say 'yes'.

I told him I would only get him one on a stick because the ones in the bag looked old. I had no idea it would be so. incredibly. big.

Unfortunately, the bag might have been the better option because the fairy floss started melting and flying/dripping everywhere and after one or two little pieces, Nathan decided he didn't want it anymore.

At this point, we had a little chat and we decided we'd never buy fairy floss again.

Afterwards, we headed off to the Docklands again because when we were there watching fireworks a couple nights before, my mom managed to score some free tickets to a hockey game!

* We mistakenly thought we'd be able to come back another day for a better look around, but it turns out Luna Park isn't open during the week. Or at least that's what we deduced because there were no signs to tell us the park's actual opening hours, which is a little silly I think. How are visitors supposed to know when to visit?
