Fly Away Home {Mini Album Cover}

I got the idea for a mini album cover last night and I didn't get to finish it until tonight.

Started off with some white and blue misting. Then, I stitched the title. My shoulder ached after I finished this so I went to bed.

I needed to fill in the space under the title but wasn't sure how. I was going to do a banner but ended up doing the Toronto skyline instead.

I was really nervous with the stitching and skyline misting because if I screwed anything up, it would have been soooo much work down the drain. I'm so glad it turned out well.

Next time, I'll leave more space between the holes for stitching, practice misting before I do it on my project and adhere my mask down a little better so the lines are more defined.

Now just to wait for the brown box to arrive so I can fill it up with blank pages. Can't wait to fill this little album up next April!

  2. I LOVE your cover! That is such a great idea :)We just took a trip up to Toronto in August and I would love to do something like that for my son. What did you use to as a mask to do the misting?
