aka my quarter life crisis mini book
Fuelled by a little meltdown I had last week and wanting to write out some thoughts and aspirations, I made this little book. I also think of it as practice for the December Daily album I plan on making in the next couple weeks, trying out some techniques and layouts to see what I like.
I cut paper, stuck in bits and pieces without even a thought of keeping it for later. I'm making real progress in turning from my hoarding ways, people!
And since I don't plan on showing it to many people after I fill it with journalling, as it'll be a little personal, I don't mind that it's not completely perfect.
Anyway, here it is:
Thanks for looking!
Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends.
(And happy Black Friday shopping to all my bargain-hunting friends.)
That will be a real treasure once you complete it! I love your combinations of papers.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I love this mini album. Second, I wasn't around the net much in the past two weeks so I just read your post which prompted this album. I have similar issues. I'm a SAHM, working part-time from home (in a job I love, but takes a back seat to the rest of my life), I hate the idea of wasting a minute doing things I don't want to do, but I know they have to be done. (Mostly any sort of cleaning.) I want to be present in my son's life 100%, but I have all these goals and hobbies that I need to feel like a complete person and I want to take them seriously and it takes time. I want to be the kind of wife who listens to her husband when he comes home after a hard day of work, but sometimes I just want to sit in a room with no noise and not have to think about anything else. I can't wait to see where this mini takes you!
ReplyDeleteLooks good, Bernice. And hurray for slowly "un-hoarding"! lol.. I'm sure things will get better from here on. *hugs*
