Pseudo-Saturday

Here in Brisbane, our holidays aren't as evenly spaced out as they were back in Toronto but once in a while, we get a day off in the middle of the week. I like it when the week gets broken up; it's like having two Saturdays in one week.

Today was Anzac Day. After sleeping in a little, Andrew got up and made breakfast for us. I like it when Andrew makes breakfast - he does it really well. And I like it because it means we're all eating breakfast together, and that doesn't happen very often anymore.

Andrew decided to make crepes today. His crepes are yummy. They're nice and thin, and go really well with my toppings.

After breakfast, Andrew brought the boys out to do some boy stuff. Mostly sport things they don't normally get to do because of Andrew's new schedule and the decreased daylight hours.

Then, Caleb had a nap (which is a very rare occurrence these days), and when he woke up, the big boys went to watch a movie with Nathan's friend and his dad. I managed to split my time between playing superheroes with Caleb and scrapbooking - it's been a very, very long time since I've made anything.

I had all sorts of podcasts, YouTube videos and galleries open for inspiration and managed to crank out two layouts.

Overall, I'd say today was a pretty good day.

  1. I am so glad you managed to get some crafty time in. I am a big fan of the mid week public holiday too although there is always something to be said for a long weekend.
