Project Life 2013: Week 6

Week of: February 3 - February 9

This week, Andrew's parents came to visit and there was a lot of catching up to do so most of the spaces are filled with pictures of them with the boys.

I wasn't too happy with the colour tones of this side - the dark and orange tones are not my favourite but it's what I had (photo-wise) so I just went with it. At least I can say it's done.

Instead of adding a caption for each photo, I thought I'd leave them untouched and just have a card at the bottom summarizing the entire page. I don't really go into specifics but most of the pictures really speak for themselves anyway. I like how simple this side is with only pictures and a bit of journaling. Isn't that how Project Life was supposed to be?

Here's a bit of a close-up of Nathan's contribution to this week. He went with Andrew to the airport to pick up his grandparents and apparently they had a nice conversation in the car. No one could remember what they talked about but they were all very impressed with how Nathan spoke. Fold-up cards are great for documenting those longer stories but I'm always at a loss for how to decorate the outside. Any suggestions?

Also pictured is a Canadian penny. They decided to take them out of circulation and that's pretty significant so I thought I'd include that in my Project Life. I happened to have a penny sitting in my wallet from our last visit so I popped that into a little glassine bag and attached it to a card.

I am incredibly far behind with my Project Life but I'm hoping to continue posting up my weekly spreads as I finish them up so you can expect to see more Project Life posts in the next little while as I catch up.
