Home Decor Paradise

West End is such a hip little suburb. They have a pretty culturally diverse selection of restaurants and some really neat shops. If we didn't have to consider the boys' school, our waistlines and wallets, I'd consider living there.

The other week, after we finished shopping for produce at the West End markets, I convinced Andrew to let me take a look at this shop that caught my eye - Vast

Look at all those bright colours and reclaimed wood pieces that filled the entrance.

Even the simplest arrangements looked so beautiful. Wouldn't you love to see that every morning? I know it would brighten up my day! And those flowers - what are they called? Add those to my list of favourite flowers.

The store is basically a warehouse space jam-packed with eye candy. So vibrant and full of character. I wish I had a home to put it all in. Oh, and I suppose I'd need a boatload of money to buy this all with, too, huh? A girl can dream, can't she?

Nathan and I daydreamed about having a hammock in our backyard. We decided we could put it by the pool that we don't have and it would be nice to just lie down and enjoy the sun and warm breeze.

They did an awesome job finding that perfect balance between old and new. I wish there was some way to learn the stories behind the older pieces.

That bench in the background came from India. I looked at the tag to see if there was a story of where it came from, the purpose it served in its former life, but unfortunately there wasn't one.

Even though we left empty-handed, I was completely satisfied just walking through the store and taking all the beauty in. There's not a lot of stores that will do that for me, so I'm glad I got the chance to walk through this one.
