Nathan's Rock Climbing Party Invites

It's birthday prep time again at our house. The planning seems to start a little later each time we host a birthday party. This year, we chose a venue for Nathan's birthday that doesn't provide invitations or food, so unlike the previous years, we actually have to do some work after booking the party.

First order of business: make invites so Nathan will have friends to celebrate his birthday with!

I decided to go the same route as we did with Caleb's invitations so had another 6-hour invitation-making session. This time, I had a bit of help from Andrew.

The process probably would have went a lot faster if my head wasn't so stuffed up with a cold.

These invitations turned out quite well for a 6-hour job, if I do say so myself.

We came up with the design, created the die-cut pieces and assembled it all in one night. Andrew and I thought it would be so much cooler if the guy could slide up and down the rope, but unfortunately the card stock isn't strong enough for that. I did pop him up on foam adhesive for some dimension though.

We ended up with half blue, half green invitations because that's what happens when you spontaneously decide to make invitations. Use what you have - there's nothing wrong with that, right?
