I'm sending a little bit of warmth and sunshine to my friends in the northern hemisphere today as you guys head into the cooler months. It's the start of spring/summer here - I can't really tell which it is, it's so hot all the time now! I'm a little jealous of all the cute fall outfits I'm seeing over on Pinterest, but it's nothing a little bit of sunshine can't cure.
This past weekend, we took advantage of some good weather and headed down to Bangalow and Byron Bay again. This time, we just went for the day.
I dragged the boys to Bangalow Markets hoping to find a vintage typewriter. I figured it would be a long shot, but I did actually find some! One was an out-of-order, orange-red one priced at $85. Then, I found three more, each priced at $165 but in working order. One of them was a really cute baby blue one that I really liked. But alas, that was way more than I was prepared to spend so I quietly walked away.
I did manage to score a couple of cute wood boxes to wrangle some of my scrapbooking supplies with.
Then, we headed to the beach for Nathan to run around.
And I did the unthinkable: I put Caleb down on the sand.
He LOVED it.
He was so glad to finally be free.
He crawled towards the ocean like a little sea turtle.
He grabbed at the sand.
He was genuinely happy.
We finished off the day with ice cream by the lighthouse and headed home as the sun set.
sea turtle! so cute :)
