I'm Melting

Today was the last day of Andrew's summer holidays and we spent the day with Nathan's school friends and their families.

First we hit up the botanical gardens for a drink. The boys were supposed to go watch a show at the planetarium but they had technical difficulties so Andrew bought them slinkies instead. Then, we walked all around the kids' trail in the gardens. By the end of it, we were all hot and the kids were going crazy.

So we went for a dip in the pool.

Love having friends who have pools! I can't believe how hot it's getting these past couple of days.

And Nathan's our resident critter detector. Yesterday, he spotted a spider on our carpet and today he found a gecko on our walls. I'm hoping that we won't find anything else in our new home.

  2. Looks like a lot of fun, but can understand the heat. I'm in southern Louisiana. Right now it is 60-70 degree weather: shorts, capris, and shortsleeves Our summers are really hot...so wish we had a little cool weather. Hope you enjoy your new home and no other critters come in!
