28 Blog Hop

If you're joining me from Jamie's blog, welcome to my stop of the 28 Blog Hop!

I'm Bernice. Originally from Toronto, I now live in Brisbane with my husband and two boys. We're taking advantage of our time here, soaking in the awesome weather and laid back culture while my husband studies to become a doctor. I enjoy making stuff, traveling and watching my boys grow up, and I document all of that here on my blog.

But enough about me; here is the project I created for this hop.

The plan was to create a simple mini book with 28 adventures I'd love to go on. I had no idea it would get so full!

I really should have known though because the name of the game was to use up as many supplies as possible, especially those embellishments that I don't normally use on layouts.

It turns out that I don't use a lot of the bulkier embellishments on my pages!

About half way through, I realized the book was getting a little too thick and decided to tone down the use of thick embellishments a bit. Luckily, I didn't work in order so it's not like the front of the book is super thick while the last pages are flat and empty.

You'll see that some pages have some blank spaces and my hope is to add in some specific details of what I'd like to experience as I plan those trips.

Be warned: it gets very picture-heavy beyond this point.

Of course, the one time I have a deadline, I start creating something with the plan of using product that is en route to me, and the product doesn't get to me in time. Adventure 3 should read: Watch turtles hatch, cross the sand and swim away.

I had so much fun putting this mini book together. Thank you for checking it out!

Before you go, Jamie is offering a $28* gift card to an online retailer of your choice so don't forget to leave a comment at each stop and return to Jamie's blog to let her know you've done so. You have until 8:00pm EST Sunday, 30 September to enter.

The next stop is Christine

Have a nice day!

*It's actually a $30 gift voucher but that's not as fun to say as $28 for the 28th blog hop on September 28!!

  6. Sounds like you have a lot of adventures a head of you. I've personally done 7 of the 28 you listed. Most recently completed #9 (Alaska) and #28 (took a Train to Canada from Skagway, AK). In 2007, I did # 5, 10, 20 and 23 all in one trip. And I used to do #26 almost daily but only drove up and down a part of Route 66 since we lived right off of Santa Monica Blvd. I sincerely hope you get to do a lot of these adventures. They sound like LOADS and BOATS of fun!
